It is also important to prepare or plan meals that can be prepared with the less amount of time, less amount of energy, fewer amounts of fuel and other resources.

The knowledge and the skills of the homemaker are also considered on the simplification of work in the kitchen. The simplification of work also depends upon how good the homemaker in preparing the recipe he/she intends to prepare. A homemaker that is knowledgeable and skillful can save more time and effort in doing the task.
